Soon we will be opening Tour & Taxis doors to a hungry crowd: hungry for action, hungry to hack. We’ve recently announced that students tickets are first to be sold out. But who are they? We invite you to have a first glance on who you will meet at Hack Belgium.
Meet the class of Ghent University Campus Kortrijk
45 students, together with professor Ellen De Vos, are coming to Hack Belgium. And to be more precise, Education. You may ask: why? Let’s go a step back.
Campus Kortrijk as a part of Ghent University, has a profound tradition in design practice. It is the place where industry, research, and education are co-created on a daily basis. A course such as ‘Design Studio and Innovation’ is a perfect example for that. Every year, when being part of this course, students tackle a societal challenge where they look for radical innovations based on emerging technologies. Education is the theme of this year and they, as we love to say, will hack it! Hack Belgium offers these students the ideal environment to experience new technologies, to meet experts in the field of education and to co-create with people with very diverse backgrounds.
“Students of creative backgrounds are the future innovators. Creativity and collaboration are key for driving innovation ” – says Ellen, professor industrial design engineering at Ghent University Campus Kortrijk.
We are thrilled to welcome 45 students all the way from Kortrijk to co-hack, co-create and co-experience Hack Belgium with you, with us. Make sure you meet them!
